6 weeks

Perfect for the athlete getting in gear for the fall season, this six-week program has two parts.

The program begins with a pre-test to measure the athlete's current physical level to ensure the athlete is matched to the protocol that best suits his or her athletic capabilities.

Over the next 20 sessions, the athlete completes a series of sessions that combine FAST acceleration training and sport-specific skills coaching.

Acceleration

Over the course of the 20-session program the athlete utilizes the Generation III highspeed treadmill (skating treadmill for ice hockey), plyometric and functional strength equipment, dynamic warm-up and agility training.

Skills

The perfect complement to Acceleration training, each session incorporates coached sport-specific drills and practice on our courts, synthetic ice or turf. This portion of each session will improve shooting, ball or puck handling, passing and hand-to-eye coordination.

For the first two weeks, the athlete will complete 10 two-hour sessions (five days per week).

For the remaining four weeks of Training Camp, the athlete will continue two-hour sessions (three days per week) of the Acceleration & Skills program.

The final session is a post-test to evaluate performance.

Sports/Health Education

During the first two weeks of the program, athletes will be introduced to sports and health education topics including nutrition, game theory and injury prevention.

Program Goal

With the FAST Acceleration program, the average athlete will see a 2-4 inch increase in vertical jump, a decrease of 0.2 seconds in a 40-yard sprint, and a 50% reduction in recovery rates. In the Skills portion of the program, the athlete will develop and enhance the skills that will bring his or her game to the next level. Overall, Training Camp develops in each athlete a strong work ethic and athletic commitment to succeed in the upcoming season.
