Pre-Season Acceleration & Skills

The Acceleration & Skills program begins with a pre-test to measure the athlete's current fitness level. The athlete is then matched to the protocol that best suits his or her athletic capabilities.

Youth baseball players aged 12-17 work in groups with experienced, high-level coaches. Low player-to-coach ratios ensure players receive individual attention to achieve peak conditioning and skills development.

Speed Training

High-intensity sprinting sequences on Generation III Super Treadmills improve speed for base running and covering ground on the field.

Strength Training

Strength exercises are biomechanically specific to on-field skills, including muscle movements used in hitting and throwing.

Plyometric Training

Pyometric training provides power training ideally suited to baseball with drills for increased coordination, reaction time and explosive and lateral power.

Skills

Players focus on advanced baseball skills development, including batting, fielding and throwing. Sessions include offensive and defensive drills to maximize the number of quality swings and throws in preparation for the upcoming season.

Chelsea Piers BlueStreak has partnered with The Baseball Center NYC to deliver accelerated baseball training. The Baseball Center NYC brings a highly skilled coaching staff and years of coaching experience to BlueStreak’s team of certified trainers. Additionally, all BlueStreak coaches are certified by the Athletic Republic and are trained in working with baseball players of all levels.
