Growing up in Manhattan, James Woods-Corwin was a frequent face at Chelsea Piers, the ultimate playground for New York City’s kids. In 1996, he began playing in Sky Rink’s youth hockey leagues; four years later he became a summer camp counselor and continued working in the camp department throughout his college years. After receiving his B.S. in Exercise Science in 2007 from Skidmore College, where he also played Division 3 Club Hockey, James returned to the Piers eager to continue his involvement in this athletic community. He quickly became a part of Sky Rink’s staff as the Assistant Director of Youth Hockey. In the spring of 2008, after coaching part-time at BlueStreak, James joined BlueStreak’s ranks full-time as the new Hockey Coordinator and Customer Service Manager.
One of his passions is working with kids of all ages and he brings that passion to the youth hockey athletes at BlueStreak through his enthusiasm and drive. |
