Internal Recognition

We have a number of internal programs designed to show our appreciation for the outstanding efforts of our employees:

  • The All-Star Team Award is given quarterly to a group of associates nominated by their peers and managers and selected by a committee comprised of representatives from each of the venues. The final award selection is based chiefly on the quality of both customer service and teamwork delivered in the following quarter.

External Recognition

Lance Ogren Sets Ederle Swim Record
Masters Swim Team coach Lance Ogren completed the NYC Swim Ederle Swim in record-setting time by swimming from Battery Park to Sandy Hook in 4:01:07, over an hour faster than his previous time of 5:10:00. Lance completed the swim in memory of his twin brother, Jay Ogren, an FDNY firefighter that was killed in the 9/11 attacks.


Andrew Kalley Earns NYC Triathlon Honors
Sports Center personal trainer and coach Andrew Kalley completed the NYC Triathlon in 2:02:28, earning the title of 2011 Elite Overall NYC Triathlon Champion. Congratulations!


Golf Club Pro Jeffrey Anderson Qualifies for the Met Open
Congratulations to Golf Club pro Jeffrey Anderson on a great finish at the Met Open Qualifier! Jeffrey tied for 12th place in a field of 150 players on Monday, July 25 at the Cold Spring Country Club in Cold Spring Harbor, NY. The Met Open will be played in late August. Great job!


Allan Renz named a Top 50 Golf Instructor by Golf Range Magazine
Golf Range Magazine recently named Chelsea Piers golf pro and Director of Schools, Allan Renz, a Top 50 Golf Instructor! This is the second time that Allan has earned this distinction. One of the busiest teaching pros in the country, Allan averages over 2,000 hours of instruction per year and has been the top instructor at the Golf Club for 9 out of his 10 years at Chelsea Piers. Congrats Allan!
