The Golf Academy's very own Marjorie Jones was recently interviewed and featured on the Gotham Golf Blog. Marge instructed founder/writer Ralph Perez on the use of FlightScope and sat down for an interview on her own background and her take on the game of golf.

Check out Marge, FlightScope and Gotham Golf Blog here.

Excerpted from Gotham Golf Blog:  "If there are any female readers out there who are interested in pursuing a Professional Golf career, whether it be teaching or playing, I suggest you give Marjorie a call. I could not think of a better mentor. At the same time if you are a female or beginning golfer who might be intimidated by the game, I would also recommend Marjorie. As you will see, her goals are to make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible."

To book a lesson with Marge and/or try a FlightScope session, call the Golf Academy at 212.336.6444.

Tone Up in the Pool

Josh Fly, Director of Personal Training

Sports Center , Aquatics No Comments »

"Want to look better in a bathing suit? Use your (pool) noodle. Turns out, the ubiquitous foam toy (you've probably had backyard "sword" fights with one!) is also an ultra-effective tone-up tool," writes Holly St. Lifer in her most recent article in Self magazine. Titled "Slim in a Splash," the article features a workout created by Personal Trainer Mike Nicholson exclusively for Self utilizing the pool and a noodle.

With the variety of noodle moves featured, you'll look like a synchronized swimmer but feel like a hardcore athlete. The exercises will work your abs, obliques, legs, hips, arms, chest and butt, giving you a full-body workout perfect for the sizzling days of summer.
