Golf Club
In the September edition of Golf
Magazine, regulars at the Golf Club may see a few
familiar faces. Inside, Golf Club Teaching
Professional James Field, as well as master member John Golec and Jack
Curtis, are part of a 2-page spread detailing their experiences taking Cleveland
Golf's DST Challenge with James at the Golf Club. Cleveland challenged players that their Launcher DST series of drivers will outdrive any
driver you are carrying in your bag right now. With the help of James and the Flight Scope - a computer based measurement of your shots - John and Jack
compared their drivers to Cleveland's. In both tests, Cleveland's drivers
outdrove the old drivers by at least 16 yards. WOW!
If you want to put Cleveland's Launchers to the test,
stop by the Golf Academy and have your own fitting session on
the Flight Scope with James Field. If you're interested in
a full lesson with James, you can choose from a variety of packages or classes. The Golf Academy carries a full
selection of Cleveland and Srixon clubs, the use of which are complimentary
during any lesson or school. To book a lesson, club fitting or class, contact the Academy at 212-336-6444 or gcacad@chelseapiers.com
between 8am and 9pm during the week or 8am and 5pm on weekends.

Public Event , Field House
The Field House is proud to announce the launch of CP Building Blocks, an enrichment program for children with developmental needs from age 18 months to 5 years. Classes target language development, cognition, motor development and socialization. Classes are one hour long with 40 minutes devoted to a a new language concept and practicing its use through gross and fine motor activities, story time, music, cooking and more. The last 20 minutes, children participate in a sports class - soccer, baseball, gymnastics - with the Special Education teacher that has already built a relationship with the child. Most early intervention programs enroll kids around age 3, but CP Building Blocks allows children to start at 18 months, giving parents tools, a community and a social outlet.
There will be an Open House and Information Session on Wednesday, September 8 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm at the Field House. See the facility, learn about the program and meet the teachers. Please RSVP to me at marcom@chelseapiers.com by September 7.
