As athletes around the world prepare for their moments of glory in Beijing, Chelsea Piers helped prepare WNBC meteorologist Janice Huff for her own shining moment in the gymnastics arena. As one of six WNBC anchors designated to try an Olympic sport, viewers voted on WNBC.com for Janice to make an attempt at gymnastics.
Peter Kormann, Director of Gymnastics at Chelsea Piers and Olympic bronze medalist, coached Janice through the floor exercise, balance beam and parallel bars technique to give her a taste of Olympic gymnastics.
