Application
Families interested in applying for a scholarship to any program must complete the Chelsea Piers Scholarship Fund application below. It is important that the directions outlined on the application are followed carefully and that all sections are filled out completely. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. In addition to the written application, the following must be provided:
- Signed copies of official tax forms for the past two years for ALL who claim the applicant as a dependent.
- Copies of W-2 Forms or other documents verifying income (welfare grant, social security documentation) for ALL who claim the applicant as a dependent.
- Copies of applicant’s two (2) most recent School Report Cards (exceptions will be made for children under age 5).
- Personal Iinterview (families may be required to have a personal interview with one or more members of the Grant Committee).
The Scholarship Fund Board of Directors will review and make final decisions on all applications. Scholarships will be awarded based on a number of criteria, including but not limited to: available grant money, financial need, thoroughness of application, applicant’s demonstrated commitment to the program and behavior in school or at previous Chelsea Piers programs.
Grants will be made three times per year for the Fall, Spring and Summer terms.
