Rock & Roll: FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

What if my child only wants to participate in gymnastics?
Sessions consist of both gymnastics and rock climbing following a short warm-up. Groups are formed and will rotate through approximately 40 minutes of gymnastics activities and 40 minutes of rock climbing. To accommodate all participants and maximize safety, participants must stay with their groups and instructors at all times.

Is the parent/guardian permitted to participate?
Sessions are for children 5-16 years old only. Adults are not permitted in the gym and are asked to view the activities from our mezzanine. However, if you are interested in participating with your child, you may arrange a private lesson or a private group event. Please call 212.336.6500 to make arrangements.

If my child does not like the session, may I get a refund?
Rock & Roll sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once you make a reservation or pay in person, payment secures your child's spot in a session.

My child is currently enrolled in one of your programs; do I receive a discount?
The Field House is not a membership-based facility. All programs are per diem and require full payment. We do not provide customers enrolled in our sports programs with discounts on daily admission programs.

Is a reservation required or may I come in person to sign up for a session?
While reservations are not required, they are highly recommended. Rock & Roll sessions tend to sell out very quickly. Reservations may be made by phone, 212.336.6500, ext. 0, starting at 9:00am the morning of a scheduled session. Very often sessions are sold out by 9:30am. Should you decide to come in person, please call the Field House prior to coming down to make sure space is available. Remember, the session may get sold out between the time you call and the time you arrive, so it's always best to make a reservation over the phone to secure your spot.

My child will be 5 years old in a few weeks, may they participate in the Rock & Roll session?
All children must be 5 years old as of the day of the Rock & Roll session they are signing up for. Unlike our preschool gymnastics class students, Rock & Roll participants utilize our entire gymnastics and rock climbing facilities. Much of this equipment has been designed for older students. Our age limitation is in place for the safety of your child and others in the session.
