Each of the spacious rooms and suites is individually decorated with antiques and elaborate furnishings inspired by the great châteaux in France.
During your stay, roam the halls of this historic estate which embodied all the lavishness of the Roaring Twenties. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around the beautiful reflecting pools and spraying fountains in the formal gardens, work out on one of the state-of-the art treadmills in the fitness center, play an 18-hole round of golf or a game of tennis, relax next to a roaring fire with your favorite novel in the stately Library then indulge in a gourmet dinner in the formal dining room before retiring to your uniquely designed suite for an in-room massage. At OHEKA you will discover a world of charming European luxury.
Play like a Pro… on one of the most prestigious private courses in the Country. The love affair between OHEKA and the golf course which surrounds it began in 1919 when Otto Kahn commissioned world renowned golf architect Seth Raynor* to design the old-fashioned links course. The pair parted ways in the 1940s when the Kahn family sold the golf course to the Cold Spring Country Club, and the course was later redesigned in 1968 by famous golf architect, Robert Trent Jones. Now OHEKA and the golf course are re-united once again, making golf and tennis available exclusively to hotel guests of OHEKA through a special partnership with the prestigious and private members only Cold Spring Country Club.
THE COURSE
The golf course at the Cold Spring Country Club is considered one of the great private estate courses built during the Roaring Twenties, this challenging par 71 (73 for women) is one of the premier private courses on Long Island's North Shore. The course offers a unique design of small well guarded greens, well placed bunkers, and the charm of very few adjacent holes. Its beautiful topography is set around the world famous OHEKA CASTLE offering stunning views of both the Castle and the Long Island Sound.
