Club manufacturers and equipment and apparel companies showcase golf products to local golfers looking to gear up for the season. In 2005, Bugatchi Vomo, Claudia Romano, Nike Golf, Vecci Sportswear and more revealed some of the hottest men’s and women’s golf fashions in two fashion shows along Sunset Strip.
Promoting May as National Tennis Month, the USTA, created a tennis court on a barge and docked it at Chelsea Piers. With media watching from an adjacent boat at the tip of Pier 59, tennis legends John McEnroe and Billie Jean King enjoyed a rally on this one-of-a-kind court.
