Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers is proud to present GLOBAL ICE, the only New York City appearance of World-Class Figure Skaters from Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. It will be presented for one night only, Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at 7:00 PM.

Among the skaters scheduled to perform are Elena Sokolova, Russia's bronze medalist, who also medaled in this year's Skate America competition, Yulia Soldatova, the Russian silver medalist, and champions Yulia Lavtowa (Austria), Igor Pachkevich (Azerbaijan), Marina Khaltovrina and Andrey Krukov (Kazakhstan) and Tatiana Navka and Nikolay Morozov (Belarus).

Also starring will be Ice Theatre of New York, the nation's first not-for-profit ice dancing ensemble. Since its founding in 1984, Ice Theatre has offered its audiences a repertory which illuminates the rich variety of moods, styles and forms that make a stage of frozen water. The company is in residence at Chelsea Piers.

GLOBAL ICE is produced for Chelsea Piers by Jack W. Batman. All tickets are $10.00 and are available at Sky Rink and the Chelsea Piers Store.
