New
York Tees It Up At The Piers
Corporate
golf enthusiasts are lining up to "take a swing" at
their competition during the inaugural Chelsea Piers
Corporate Golf Challenge presented by Continental Airlines.
The Corporate Golf Challenge, which kicks off with a
practice round and pre-event party on May 26, 1998 is
divided into two parts: a 3-round Skills Competition
at the Golf Club's state-of-the-art driving range (June
2, June 9, and June 16) and an 18-Hole Championship
Round at Crystal Springs Golf Course at the Great
Gorge Golf Reserve in Sussex County, NJ on June 19,
1998.
Teams
compete for bragging rights as well as over $10,000
in prizes, including round-trip Continental Airlines
tickets, a complimentary golf event for 50 people at
the Golf Club, Top-Flite equipment and more. The fee
is $1,200 per team and includes range fees, greens fees,
food, prizes and much more.
The
Golf Challenge is destined to become New York's premier
golf event and will pit corporations against one another
in a unique and challenging format which ultimately
will decide New York's golf champion.
Continental
Airlines' participation in the Chelsea Piers Corporate
Golf Challenge is part of its recently signed year-long
sponsorship of the Golf Club at Chelsea Piers. As the
official and exclusive airline of the Golf Club, Manhattan's
only year-round driving range, Continental has placed
its insignia throughout the club and will, throughout
the year, participate in special events and promotions

of us at Chelsea Piers are extremely proud to welcome
Continental Airlines to our growing family of corporate
sponsors," said Tom A. Bernstein, President of Chelsea
Piers. "This is an ideal partnership between the New
York area's premier airline and our world-class sports
facility. Look for more great things to develop between
our two cutting-edge businesses."
