"BROADWAY
COMES TO CHELSEA"
GYMNASTICS GALA TO BE HELD AT FIELD HOUSE AT CHELSEA
PIERS
On
Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, 1998, both evenings
at 7:00 PM, the Field House at Chelsea Piers is proud
to present "BROADWAY COMES TO CHELSEA,"
two spectacular performances showcasing adult, competitive
and professional gymnasts, performing to great Broadway
musical selections.
The
evening will star Special Guest Performers, Anti-Gravity,
who seamlessly blend Olympic-calibre gymnastics with
dance. Anti-Gravity was recently featured in the Broadway
musical, Candide, and at such major NYC venues
as the Metropolitan Opera and Radio City Music Hall.
They've performed in virtually every major concert hall
in New York City, and in industrial and fashion shows
and guest appearances worldwide.
Also
starring will be the College Point, New York-based group,
Strut Your Stuff; Rhythmic Gymnastics of New
York (under the direction of national and international
Gold Medalist, Wendy Hilliard); the exciting New
York City Flyers; Extreme Air; choreographer/dancer/circus
performer, Sarah East Johnson along with Natalie
Agee; Chelsea Bacon (whose performing gigs
have taken her as far as San Francisco) and Dancer/Choreographer,
Lindsay Blake, who recently returned from Germany
where he performed in the musical, Starlight Express.
"BROADWAY COMES TO CHELSEA" will be hosted
by Tony Buckley.
Tickets
are available in advance at the Field House at Chelsea
Piers. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
The Field House is located on Pier 62, 23rd Street and
the Hudson River.
The
80,000-sq-ft. Field House at Chelsea Piers is Manhattan's
premier sports facility for children and adults. The
