From October 12, 1998 until October 18, 1998, the Golf Club at Chelsea Piers is proud to welcome famed golf professional and instructor, Jim McLean, who will be conducting One-Day Golf Schools, as well as a Golf Clinic.

McLean, Director of Instruction at the Doral Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida, as well as Director of Instruction at KSL Properties, is regarded as one of golf's most-effective instructors. For over twenty years he has been helping both top touring professionals and beginning golfers to improve their games. He owns Jim McLean Golf Schools in Florida, California and Michigan, and licenses golf schools in Arizona, California, and Washington as well as here, at Chelsea Piers. A PGA Master Professional, Jim McLean was the 1994 PGA National Teacher of the Year as well as the recipient of numerous other awards. He is the author of many best-selling golf instruction books and videos.

With 52 heated and weather-protected hitting stalls on four levels, a computerized automatic ball tee-up system, and a 200-yard, net-enclosed, artificial-turf fairway, the Golf Club at Chelsea Piers is the most technologically-advanced golf driving range and teaching center in the United States. The on-site Golf Academy, which offers schools, clinics, and private instruction for both accomplished and novice golfers, features ultra-modern superstations fitted with stop-motion video equipment and swing analysis computers, and a practice sand bunker, chipping green and putting green.

The One-Day Golf Schools are three-hour sessions, with four students per session. Morning, afternoon and evening sessions are scheduled throughout McLean. s visit. Cost is $495 per person, per session. The Golf Clinic will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 1998 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
