On February 19, 1999 at 7:00 PM at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers, GLOBAL ICE presents MARDI GRAS MADNESS, a gala ice celebration featuring international figure skating stars and special musical entertainment.

Among the skaters scheduled to appear are World Professional Pairs Champions, Elena Leonova and Andrei Kvalko (Russia), World Junior Dance Champions, Jamie Silverstein and Justin Pekarek (USA), four-time National Champion, Anthony Liu (Australia), World and European Acrobatic Champions, Valeria & Vicktor Mitnick (Ukraine), Russian National team member and star of Walt Disney's Snow White, Sergei Tartikov (Russia), plus other world-class figure skaters. A special feature of the program will be International Stars of the Future featuring 14-year-old Vikki Hodges, British National team member (Great Britain), 12-year-old Joelle Forte, the North Atlantic International Ladies Champion (USA), and 9-year-old skating phenom, Catherine Hadford, from Washington, DC (USA).

The special musical guest will be MR. LUCKY blues band, one of the most- popular bands at last summer's Chelsea Piers music series, Music at the Piers.

GLOBAL ICE, produced by Jack W. Batman, is a continuing series of figure skating exhibitions, presented at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers, Pier 61, 23rd Street & the Hudson River.
