PEE
WEE HOCKEY STATE TOURNAMENT
TO BE HELD AT SKY RINK AT CHELSEA PIERS
NINE TEAMS TO PLAY THIS WEEKEND
The
Pee Wee "B" State Ice Hockey Tournament will be held
Friday, March 26, 1999 through Sunday, March 28, 1999
at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers. Presented under the auspices
of the New York State Amateur Hockey Association, the
nine best teams from around the state will play round-robin
games from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday.
Semi-finals begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday, followed by
the Finals at 5:00 PM.
The
participating teams are New York City Cyclones (Host
Team), Clifton Park Eagles, Nassau County Cubs, Cheektowaga
Warriors, Suffolk PAL Blue Knights, Batavia Ramparts,
Lake Placid PeeWees, Binghamton Jr. Icemen, and Auburn
Ice Hawks. Players are ages 11 and 12 as of June 30,
1998. Each roster has 18-20 players, so there are approximately
180 players in the tournament.
Sky
Rink at Chelsea Piers is the home rink of The New York
City Cyclones Youth Hockey organization, which field
teams at seven different levels of play. These teams
practice and play all their home games at Sky Rink.
The
Pee Wee "B" State Tournament is FREE to spectators,
beginning at 7:00 AM on Friday, March 26, 1999. Please
