RIVERBLUES
FESTIVAL THIS SATURDAY AT CHELSEA PIERS
On
Saturday, September 25, 1999, from 4:00 PM until 1:00
AM, Chelsea Piers presents the first annual RiverBlues
Festival, with two stages featuring continuous music
from the top blues bands of New York City. The event
is sponsored by Samuel Adams Boston Lager. Scheduled
to appear are Chris Carter, The Dana Fuchs Band, Kid
Java, Little Buster and the Soul Brothers, Mojo Daddy,
Christine Santelli, Seņor Lucky, Taino and special guest
star, the legendary Lonnie Youngblood. A special attraction
will be a performance by cast members of the hit Broadway
musical, It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues.
The
outdoor RiverBlues Festival will feature beergarden
seating, with lots of great Samuel Adams beer and American
and Cajun food available for purchase, plus some special
surprises and door prizes. Admission is $5 per person,
and kids under 16 will be admitted free when accompanied
by an adult. A portion of the proceeds will benefit
