On Saturday and Sunday, December 11 and 12, 1999, both evenings at 7:00 PM, the Field House at Chelsea Piers will present its highly-anticipated annual event, The Holiday Gymnastics Gala. The Gala features competitive and professional athletes and entertainers from across the country.

This year's event will star Anti-Gravity, the premiere dance/gymnastics company in the country; the New York City Flyers, national competitive trampolinists; Extreme Air, the premiere SportAerobics group in the U.S.; the New York Theater Ballet directed by Diana Byer; trapeze adagio artist Kris Olness, "Helga" in the Broadway musical hit Cabaret; aerialist Chelsea Bacon; and Lindsay Blake, international dancer/choreographer/fitness trainer. Special guest performers are Ken Berkeley, the 1999 Men's SportAerobics U.S. National Champion, and Irina Burdetsky, internationally-acclaimed star of the Burdetsky Russian Family Circus.

The Holiday Gymnastics Gala is an annual event, born in 1997, celebrating the Field House at Chelsea Piers Adult Gymnastics Program, the largest in the United States. This year's show will be hosted by Dave Melton and conceived, produced and directed by Link Blake.
