ICE
THEATRE OF NEW YORK PREVIEWS NEW
DANCES AT SKY RINK AT CHELSEA PIERS
Ice Theatre of New York, the nation's premiere not-for-profit
ice dancing ensemble, will preview two new works and
one repertory piece at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers on
Thursday, June 15, 2000 at 4:00 PM. The new pieces,
commissioned by the New York State Council on the Arts,
are choreographed by Ann Carlson and Elisa Monte, and
will premiere at Ice Theatre's home season, October
3-6, 2000 at Sky Rink. Monte's piece, "The Draftsman's
Contract," and Carlson's "Angel, Part II" will be presented
along with "Heart," a dance by Joanna Mendl Shaw.
Ice
Theatre of New York, under the direction of founder
Moira North, is in residence at Chelsea Piers. Ensemble
co-directors, five-time U.S. Ice Dance Champion Judy
Blumberg and distinguished choreographer Doug Webster,
will be performing with the Ice Theatre Ensemble.
