CHELSEA
PIERS RIVERMUSIC FESTIVAL
PRESENTS "A LITTLE BIT OF COUNTRY"
On
Saturday, July 8, 2000, from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM,
Chelsea Piers presents the second concert of the Chelsea
Piers RiverMusic Festival, "A Little Bit of Country,"
featuring great kneeslapping music by Jim Roll & The
Silos, Li'l Mo and the Monicats, Demolition String Band,
Dakota, Candy Jones, Miss Babs and the Kickin' Boogie
Band and Hank Williams Lonesome Cheatin' Hearts Club
Band. This outdoor concert along the beautiful Hudson
River will be held at the Roller Rinks at Chelsea Piers,
and will feature continuous music on two stages, beergarden
seating, lots of great food, beer and other beverages
available for purchase, plus some special surprises
and door prizes. And there'll be plenty of room for
dancing! This is the second of four scheduled Festival
concerts. The festival is sponsored by Virgin Megastore
and the Village Voice. Y-107 New Country is the Event
Sponsor.
The
remaining two scheduled concerts are: "A Wee Irish
Fling" on August 12, 2000, and "Blues in the
Night" on September 9, 2000. RiverMusic Festival
concerts run from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM. (Raindates
are July 9, August 13 and September 10.) Admission is
$10 per person, and kids under 16 will be admitted free
when accompanied by an adult. A portion of the proceeds
