The Sky Rink Youth Scholarship Fund is proud to be hosting its annual spring benefit, Skate Into Spring, on Friday, May 3, 2002 beginning at 5:30 PM at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers. The Sky Rink Youth Scholarship Fund raises much-needed funds for New York City children who have the desire, but not the financial resources, to participate in organized youth hockey and figure skating programs. This year over 150 children will receive scholarships.

The evening features open skating, a cocktail supper with fine food by Abigail Kirsch, dancing to the music of Total Remix, an exhibition hockey game (NY Rangers/NY Islanders alumni vs. Chelsea Piers All-Stars) and a figure skating exhibition starring world class skaters.

The event also includes exhibition youth hockey games, and the presentation of the annual Good Skate Award, going this year to Joan Rozolis (past president of the Skating Club of New York and current treasurer of the United States Figure Skating Association) and to Warren Berke (founder of the New York City Cyclones and commissioner of the Long Island Hockey League). It concludes with The Great Sky Rink Auction featuring sports memorabilia, NYC entertainment packages and other great items.

Tickets are available at three levels: Benefit tickets at $300, and General Admission tickets at $100 for a Family of Four or $50 for Individuals.
