Piers Sponsorship Program Adds New Sponsors:
Budweiser, Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks, MasterCard and Srixon

Sponsor Coca-Cola Renews Sponsorship

York, N.Y. – July 28, 2003) – Chelsea
Piers, New York’s ultimate amateur sports
and entertainment complex, today announced the addition
of several new sponsors including Budweiser, Anheuser-Busch
Adventure Parks, MasterCard International and Srixon
Golf. Also, Coca-Cola, a longtime sponsor of the
Piers, has renewed its sponsorship.
The
agreement with Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., is
a multi-year deal, making Anheuser-Busch, Inc.’s
Budweiser brand the “Official Malt Beverage
Sponsor” and Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks
the “Official Theme Park Sponsor” of
Chelsea Piers.
Filling
the category of the Official Card of Chelsea Piers
will be MasterCard International. The multi-year
sponsorship is tied in with the recent introduction
of a Chelsea Piers affinity MasterCard card that
will be issued by MBNA America. Chelsea Piers affinity
cardholders will be enrolled in MBNA’s popular
World Points program. In addition, Chelsea Piers
is developing value-added benefits for both Chelsea
Piers affinity cardholders and all MasterCard cardholders.

Thayer
also announced today that long-time sponsor Coca-Cola
has renewed its sponsorship and entered into another
multi-year contract. The deal secures exclusivity
for Coca-Cola in the carbonated soda, isotonic,
fruit juice and iced tea beverage categories.
The
Budweiser, Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks, MasterCard
and Coca-Cola agreements come only weeks after Srixon
signed on as the official golf equipment sponsor
of the Golf Club at Chelsea Piers. As part of the
multi-year deal, Srixon will supply the balls used
at the Golf Club driving range, and outfit the Golf
Academy with Srixon clubs for golfers taking lessons.
All
Chelsea Piers sponsors receive category exclusivity,
advertising time on the 1,200-square-foot Spectacolor
electronic message board overlooking the West Side
Highway, on-site signage, hospitality benefits and
event sponsorship opportunities.
Budweiser,
Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks, MasterCard, Coca-Cola
and Srixon join Balance Bar, CCM, Delta Airlines,
Evian, Horizon HealthCare, NewYork-Presbyterian
Hospital and Washington Mutual as official sponsors
of Chelsea Piers.
