CHELSEA PIERS CELEBRATES
YOUR MIDDAY BREAK WITH LUNCH SPECIALS
Skating, Golf, Hockey, Soccer
and Gymnastics Offer
Sporty New Yorkers Lunchtime Workout Options
Due
to increasing demand, Chelsea Piers has expanded
its already popular lunchtime sports program. New
Yorkers who are looking to do something different
at lunchtime are invited to the complex to take part
in any number of midday stress-relieving sporting
activities.
“We have found that more and more people are
taking a 1-1 ½ and burning off some steam,” commented
Dana Thayer, Director of Marketing. “New Yorkers
have a tendency to work late into the night thereby
justifying the little extra time needed at lunch to
get in some personal time.”
New programs offered as an alternative to the business
lunch include:
Open Soccer: This is the only lunch
that you will be encouraged to dribble at! Grab some
coworkers and head over to the Field House to kick
and scream your way through lunch.
(Mon-Thurs, noon-1:30pm)
Adult Gymnastics: If the workday
seems a little stuffy for you and you want to bend
your limits, try out an adult gymnastics class at the
Field House. You are sure to laugh like a little kid
again and get one of the greatest workouts you’ve
had in a long time. (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, noon-1:30pm)
Golf: Take the Ultimate Lunch Break.
Call it a meeting – after all golf and business
do go hand-in-hand nowadays. With heated weather-protected
stalls and spectacular Hudson River views, hitting
a few balls makes the perfect midday break. Take a ½ hour
or 1 hour private lesson Mon-Fri, from 11:00am to 2:00pm
at the Golf Club.
Open Hockey: Did you ever want to
body check your boss into the watercooler? Come on
down for lunchtime open hockey at Sky Rink. Whether
you simply smack the puck around the ice or slam into
the boards, you’ll return to work a more peaceful
person. (Mon-Fri, noon to 1:20pm)
General Skating: Left your workout
clothes at home but really want to get your heart racing
a little at lunch? Grab a hot chocolate and take a
few spins around the ice at Sky Rink. The break will
clear your mind and get you back on track for the afternoon.
(Mon-Fri, 11:30 am-5:20pm)
