THE GOLF CLUB AT CHELSEA PIERS JOINS FORCES WITH
THE FIRST TEE OF METROPOLITAN NEW YORK

(New York, NY – September 12, 2006) – The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers is teaming up with The First Tee of Metropolitan New York to serve as a teaching facility for metropolitan-area youth and volunteers. As the only First Tee location in Manhattan, the Golf Club will provide space, golf instructors, and teachers to facilitate local youth's involvement with the First Tee's Life Skills program.

The Life Skills program works with children to teach them the "Nine Core Values" - Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgment. The program and Life Skills are used to teach children how to conduct themselves while playing the game of golf, and ultimately to transfer their understanding of these values from the course to how they behave in school, at home, and during daily interaction with others.

"We are very excited to be able to offer programming on a weekly basis. Our goal is to put 400 kids through The First Tee during the 2006/2007 season," says Greta Wagner, General Manager of the Golf Club.

The Golf Club kicks off their season-long work with The First Tee with an event on September 12, 2006, when the Golf Club and The Royal Bank of Scotland welcome PGA star Paula Creamer and approximately 50 local youth for a fun and instructional afternoon of golf and life lessons.
