TEAM BUILDING HITS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

(New York, NY-November 1, 2007) - Chelsea Piers today launched Family Time, a new twist on its popular corporate team-building program. Family Time is aimed at making family time during the holidays fun time. Extended family groups of eight or more are encouraged to get off the couch and head to Chelsea Piers for an afternoon of fun, games and family togetherness.

“We wanted to create an activity that would give extended families in New York City an interesting and productive way to spend their time together over the holidays,” said Mollie Marcoux, General Manager of the Field House at Chelsea Piers. “Family Time borrows from our expertise in corporate team building programs, but translates it into something that can work for families as well. I think people will be amazed at how much fun you’ll have.”

Family Time will feature games such as the Blind Trust Walk, designed to encourage family bonding (with a dose of hilarity thrown in). In Blind Trust Walk, one person must lead a blindfolded family member through an obstacle course, but mum’s the word! Silence is golden as family members develop creative ways to communicate with each other.

Family groups must have at least eight participants; children can be as young as seven years old. Family Time is available as either a two-hour or a three-hour session. Each class is custom-designed for your family’s desired activity level.

If the trek to Grandma’s doesn’t take you over the river and through the woods, make plans for a trip over the highway and through the Piers. Fun-filled Family Time awaits!
