FIFTH ANNUAL GOLF FEST
LONGEST-RUNNING GOLF EXPO IN NEW YORK CITY

(New York, NY— May 1, 2008) – The Golf Club at Chelsea Piers will be hosting the fifth annual Golf Fest on May 2nd and 3rd. As New York City’s longest running Golf Expo and the City’s only club demo event, Golf Fest is a fantastic weekend activity that traditionally attracts more than 1000 golfers of all abilities.

Srixon, Callaway, Ping, TaylorMade, Titleist, Cobra, Tour Edge, MacGregor, Cleveland, Mizuno and Nike will showcase the best clubs with the most recent innovations.

More than 15 Chelsea Piers golf professionals will be on-hand to help guests with swing tips for the summer golf season. Professionals will also take guests through the video swing analysis machines, simulators and K-vest technology that distinguishes the Golf Academy at Chelsea Piers as one of the most technologically advanced teaching facilities in the country. Attendees can take part in group Golf 101 sessions, and then apply their new skills on the tiers where there will be open-hitting practice. Players can also sign up for great deals on local golf courses represented at Golf Fest. Additionally, guests will be entered to win any of a number of great prizes, including JetBlue tickets, Sky Rink skating school lessons, a semester of a Field House class, Sports Center health club day passes and more!

For families, Golf Fest has a Kids’ Corner, complete with face painting, make-your-own sundaes, and a child-friendly hitting bubble for putting games.
