Fit for Fun
Are you an early bird looking for a fun way to start your day? Look no further than Sports Center Trainer Gerald Moore’s Fit for Fun class every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00am. This is no ordinary fitness class: you will get a full body workout with a combination of strength training, endurance and cardio. All levels are welcome, and beginner to advanced athletes will reap the fitness benefits - even Gerald still gets sore after one of his classes!
The hour-long class starts in Studio A, but you won’t stay there for long. After a warm-up that gets your heart beating, Gerald takes advantage of the entire Sports Center facility. The unpredictable class will have you sprinting around the track, wheel barrowing across the basketball court, punching the boxing bags and lunging in the sand volleyball court. There is an emphasis on group exercises, and the class has become very popular due to the camaraderie it inspires. A relay race while carrying weights improves cardio conditioning and builds muscular endurance and strength;teammates encourage each other to push themselves to the limit.
Fit for Fun is a crowd pleaser for those who want to kick off their morning with an exciting workout, as well as for members who want to make some new friends while getting in shape. Stop hitting the snooze button – head to the Sports Center every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00am!
