CP Running

Running is much more than putting one foot in front of the other – just ask Usain Bolt or Michael Johnson. It’s about form. It’s about speed. But, would you ever expect that running could be about having fun? After one class with Brady Crain, former U.S. National Track & Field Champion, CP Running will have you thinking about how you run, improving your speed and general conditioning and enjoying the sport. All skill levels and ages will benefit from CP Running. Beginners will enjoy short intervals of running to break up the characteristic monotony of laps around the track. Advanced athletes will take pleasure in seeing seconds trimmed from timed runs. Because CP Running is designed to improve speed, lessons learned can benefit athletes of all sports, not solely runners.

Be sure to bring your game face and a towel because this class is nonstop. The hour-long class kicks off with a dynamic shuttle run warm-up of various styles to warm your body. CP Running’s constant action provides a full-body workout by combining short, interval drills to work the lower body with upper-body and core drills. Be prepared to have your 200-meter dash timed, compete in friendly relay races and even improve your explosiveness through plyometric drills. After a mere 15 minutes, Brady will have even the most practiced athletes working up a sweat.

If you’re ready to take your speed and stamina to the next level, don’t miss Brady’s CP Running on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Class meets on the track at the entrance to the East Sundeck.
