CP Masters Swim Team

Come see why the CP Masters Swim Team is more than 80 members strong and a dominating force at all local competitions. Simply book a time with a coach for an evaluation session or come and audit a class. Members who register for the CP Masters Swim Team receive a CP Masters Swim Team cap and T-shirt.

CP Throttle
Days: Monday - Friday

CP Throttle, an 8-week, high-intensity training program led by Elite trainer Scott Berlinger, is geared towards all aspects of triathlon racing. Participants may take up to five classes per week.

First Steps

Think the "little wall" is for kids? Can't tie a figure-8? Never belayed?
Don't worry - even Everest is climbed one step at a time. All beginners are welcome to try First Steps, a class that will teach you the following basics:
  • Psychological preparation
  • How to transfer body weight efficiently
  • Proper use of the legs to maximize time on the wall
Open Climb Thursdays
Day: Thursday, July 10 & 31
Time: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
No appointment necessary! Stop by the rock wall from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. No belay class, no certification needed, no lesson, just clip and climb!

Pilates Group Classes

Pilates is recognized as one of the safest and most effective total-body exercise programs available. The smooth, non-jarring motions promote proper breathing, strengthen core abdominal and back muscles, and improve posture, balance and flexibility.

Pilates Group Classes are scheduled according to ability level and require a minimum of three participants.

Boxing Basics

Want to learn how to throw a jab, hook and uppercut and get a fantastic, full-body boxing workout in the process? Boxing Basics is the perfect introduction for anyone who has even the slightest pugilistic instinct. Bag work, jump rope, focus pads and conditioning drills are used to prepare you for 1-on-1 contact training. This class is for beginners. Hand wraps are mandatory.

Fight Klub
Day: Wednesdays Saturdays

Fight Klub is an advanced boxing class for those who have taken Boxing Basics and are ready for 1-on-1 contact training. Learn to fight like a pro. Boxing Basics is a mandatory prerequisite.

LunchBox

Lunch Box is a class for the midday pugilist. Prepare yourself for 1-on-1 contact training with bag work, jump rope, focus pads and conditioning drills.

adidas Urban Run at CP
Days:   Tuesdays
Time: 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: Runners meet next door to Ruthy's Café at Pier 62.

The adidas Urban Run at CP, a group running class that takes place outdoors along the Hudson River Park bikeway/walkway offers a fun way to get in shape.

Two accomplished pacesetters will lead you along the bikeway/walkway on an out and back course ranging from 4 to 8 miles. Pacesetters will check in with runners of various paces to provide encouragement and valuable feedback.

Store your belongings in a cubby while you run and meet back afterwards to stretch and enjoy refreshing drinks and nutritious snacks provided by the adidas representatives who are always on hand. Recently installed bulletin boards inform participants about upcoming local races and exciting programs taking place at Chelsea Piers.

Another bonus? As an adidas Urban Run member, each time you run, you earn points that can be redeemed for merchandise at the adidas Sport Performance Store in Soho (Broadway & Houston)!
