Assessments are performed to measure your current fitness level or progress
with respect to your training goals. Body composition, aerobic capacity,
flexibility, muscle strength and endurance are all tested. Results
from these tests allow you to develop or fine-tune your exercise program
and achieve your goals.

A BMR test
determines the amount of calories an individual needs to gain, lose or
maintain weight. This test is ideal for the individual who is trying
to change his/her body composition or alter his/her diet. Nutritional
counseling is recommended to
accompany this test.

Using the reliable and accurate skinfold method, a physiologist will estimate
your body fat. This test will determine your percentage of lean mass vs. body
fat so that you can develop an appropriate exercise regimen.

Reassessments
should be performed at least 3 months apart.

VO2 max tests
are designed for individuals with sport-specific goals, or those involved
in high intensity cardiovascular exercise programs. This test determines
your aerobic capacity and anaerobic threshold, the point at which exercise
fatigue begins, to ensure you are training at an optimal level.
*Initial
assessments are complimentary to new members. Periodic reassessments
are recommended.
