It may rain the rest of this week, but Sundeck season is right around the corner. Look and feel your best over the next six weeks with Elite Trainer Grayson Fertig's guide to healthy weight loss, featured on Blisstree.com.

Grayson writes, "Losing weight can be a daunting task; it also takes a significant amount of courage because it means that you are willing to say, 'I can do better.'  With that in mind, there is absolutely no reason to lose weight if you’re happy with how your body looks and feels, and if your doctor says your health indicators are all in shape. Make sure that you truly want to begin, and if you do, you need to make a clear decision to change your lifestyle in order to change yourself physically."

Massage Benefits Are More Than Skin Deep

Anecdotally, we always "feel better" after a massage. However, research has shown that the benefits of a massage are more far-reaching than simply a de-stressor.  A recent article in the New York Times, details these benefits and it’s certainly worth a read for all athletes.

It is wonderful that we now have proof of the hormonal and immune system effects of massage.  This research allows us to see massage as an important component of our health routine, and not just an indulgence.

As a reminder, most FSA plans will allow for reimbursement of massage to treat a specific injury or trauma.  Hopefully, in the future and as more is known about the preventive benefits of massage, all massage will be reimbursable. In the meantime, book a massage today and feel the benefits for yourself. Members receive 20% off all services.
