The Spa at Chelsea Piers tips its hat to all those runners headed out to pound the pavement this weekend in the NYC Marathon - or any other upcoming race.  Beginning November 7, 2010, any athlete that brings in a race bib from a 2010 race will be entitled to a 25% discount on any massage. 

Plus, a treatment valued at $75 or more entitles you to all-day access to the Sports Center health club.

Attention runners training for the ING NYC Marathon! Treat yourself to a night of (free) indulgence! Hosted by the Sports Center, Fitness Magazine and the Hospital for Special Surgery, the Pre-Marathon Tune-Up will help prep you for the big day.

Wednesday, October 6.  6:30pm - 8:30pm at the Sports Center.

Enjoy foam roller massages from The Spa, stretching with John Boyd and gang, healthy snacks, new gear, giveaways from Fitness Magazine and advice from experts including:

Dr. Jordan Metzl - Dr. Metzl is a nationally recognized Sports Medicine Physician at New York City’s Hospital for Special Surgery and is one of only ten sports medicine physicians to be named to New York Magazine’s Top Doctor’s List.

The Sports Center's very own Andrew Kalley - Andrew Kalley is a USA Triathlon Level 2 coach, accomplished triathlete and Senior Coach of Full Throttle Endurance Racing Team.

2 Nutritionists, Stephanie Middleburg, R.D. and Helaina Bernstein - Devote some time to thinking about what you eat with a nutritionist Q&A. Peanut butter, energy bars, caffeine - with so many choices, these tips will help promote peak performance.
