Dance the Night Away

Dance , Event , Fitness , Try a New Sport Add commentsIf you’re dreading your next workout, you might just need to take a different approach. When I hear a beat I always want to get up and dance. It’s fun, but it’s also a great way to get in shape and burn calories without even realizing it. While you mimic Beyonce’s new video, you also are increasing your endurance, strength and flexibility. So don’t put off working out; go out dancing with your friends and have a great time while getting in shape - there’s a reason why all those Dancing with the Stars contestants are so fit and toned!
And if you aren’t already sold, there’s another good reason to dance the night away. Join The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers for our 4th Dance AID – an evening of dance choreographed and performed by local member & non-member dance groups, benefiting Dancers Responding to AIDS. Think hip-hop, contemporary ballet, tap, jazz, chair dancing and more! All Dance Aid attendees will receive a free pass to the Sports Center’s Dance Week, held the week of October 12. In the spirit of dance, you will enjoy a week’s worth of unlimited dance classes at the Sports Center. Dance Week also provides you full access to the entire facility including rock climbing, swimming, cardio, beach volleyball and much more.
