The Game-Time Hockey program provides the best of both worlds—on-ice training at Sky Rink combined with advanced hockey conditioning training at BlueStreak.
Sky Rink Components
On-ice sessions concentrate on game-play situations, including:
- Team-Focused Drills
- Offensive and Defensive Strategies
- Powerplay and Penalty Kills Situations
- Position Responsibilities in Defensive, Neutral and Offensive Zones
- Shooting, Passing, Stick-Handling and Puck Possession Skills
BlueStreak Components
Speed Training
Short duration/high-intensity sprinting sequences on the Athletic Republic-patented skating treadmill simulate hockey shifts, delivering the most sport-specific conditioning program possible.
Skills
Drills on BlueStreak's synthetic ice Skills Zone focus on stick handling, shooting, off-balance accuracy, soft hands, passing, toe drags, dekes, shooting technique and power, obstacle stick handling, puck control, and goalie skills.

13 consecutive sessions of on-ice sessions at Sky Rink plus 3 off-ice training sessions at BlueStreak

Staff
Alana Blahoski played for the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team that won the first-ever gold medal in women’s ice hockey at the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan.
Jim Bugenhagen, Director of Hockey at Sky Rink, played five years at Northern Illinois University and has more than 8 years of coaching experience.
