Getting to Chelsea Piers
Chelsea Piers is out of this world, but just across town! Stunning river views, refreshing breezes, vibrant colors and scores of opportunities for fun and relaxation make the Piers seem miles away from the bustle of Manhattan. Located within Hudson River Park between 17th Street and 23rd Street, the Piers are easily accessible by public transportation, car, taxi, bike, blades, boat and foot.

Cars & Taxis
Cars and taxis enter Chelsea Piers through the vehicular entrance via the southbound lanes of Route 9A, off the West Side Highway, at the entrance opposite 23rd Street. Taxi stands are located at the entrances to Pier 61 and Pier 60. Moderately priced on-site parking is available. Pick-up and drop-off locations are shown on the map above.

Public Transportation
The M23 bus crosses Manhattan on 23rd Street and stops directly in front of Chelsea Piers. The M23 connects with all of Manhattan's north-south bus routes and subway lines. Subway-bus connections are located at the following 23rd Street stations:
- #6 - Park Avenue
- N (Weekends Only), R, W - Broadway/Fifth Avenue
- F, M, PATH - Sixth Avenue
- #1 - Seventh Avenue
- C, E - Eighth Avenue
In addition, the No. 7 Subway stops at 34th Street & Eleventh Avenue, a 10-15 minute walk south to Chelsea Piers.
The M14D, which crosses Manhattan on 14th Street, terminates at 18th Street and the West Side Highway across the street from Pier 59.

The M12 bus runs downtown between Columbus Circle and Abington Square in the West Village. The M12 travels downtown on 11th Ave and uptown via West Street and 12th Avenue. The bus stops at:
- West 58th & Broadway
- 57th & 11th
- 42nd & 11th
- 24th & 11th
- Jane St. & 8th Ave.

Citi Bike
The Citi Bike public bicycle sharing system provides convenient access to bicycles for New Yorkers and visitors with over 300 docking stations throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. Citi Bikes are locked into a network of docking stations and can be rented and returned to any station in the system. 24-Hour and 7-Day Access Passes allow riders to ride for 30 minutes to the destination of their choice. Pedestrian Access
Traffic lights and crosswalks guide pedestrians, skaters and cyclists across the highway to Chelsea Piers' entrances at 22nd Street, 20th Street and 18th Street at the West Side Highway. A one-mile public esplanade extends around the perimeter of Chelsea Piers and an interior walkway, Sunset Strip, connects the facilities. The Hudson River Park bikeway/walkway runs parallel and through Chelsea Piers, making the Piers an ideal destination for bikers, joggers and walkers. Bike racks are available.
