We have a number of programs designed to show our appreciation for the outstanding efforts of our employees:
All-Star Team Award
The All-Star Team Award is given twice a year to a group of associates nominated by their peers and managers and selected by a committee comprised of representatives from each of the venues. The final award selection is based chiefly on the quality of customer service and teamwork delivered in the prior six months.
At our annual employee meeting, held each fall, we present MVP Awards to a small group of associates who have had a superb year and whose contributions surpass even our high expectations. The award certificate presented to the annual MVPs reads: The Most Valuable Person Award is presented to… for being a model employee who demonstrates Commitment to Excellence at Every Level. You embody the cooperative spirit and dedication to others that makes Chelsea Piers a special place for all.
Coach of the Year Awards
Our annual fall meeting also includes the presentation of Coach of the Year Awards, which are given to a select group of teachers, coaches or instructors who, like the annual MVPs, have had an outstanding year of accomplishment. The award certificate reads: This Coach of the Year Award is presented to… for setting the highest standard of excellence in instruction and for outstanding commitment to inspiring and motivating our customers. You embody the cooperative spirit and dedication to others that makes Chelsea Piers a special place for all.
Years of Service Awards
At our annual fall meeting, associates who have reached their fifth, tenth or twentieth year of employment in the prior twelve months receive 5 Year Service Awards, 10 Year Service Awards or20 Year Service Awards. The 10 Year Service Award recipients also receive a Chelsea Piers 10 Year Team Varsity jacket. The 20 Year Service Award recipients receive a special mantel clock from Tiffany & Co.
As of Winter 2018, we had over 460 currently employed associates who had received 5 Year Service Awards, 315 active employees who had received 10 Year Service Awards and 59 current associates who had received 20 Year Service Awards.
