Music Programs at CP Kids
Music plays an important part in enhancing the development of language, math and social skills, which is why we strive to incorporate age-appropriate music in our daily curriculum. Our supportive environment and caring instructors guide students as they learn how to keep a steady beat, sing in tune and participate with confidence. We organize two performances per year, offering students the opportunity to perform in front of others, practice techniques, act as courteous audience members, and build sets, costumes and props.
Toddler and Infant Music Program
Our toddler and infant classrooms receive three music classes per week. Each lesson is focused on language development and builds upon the basics of musical learning. Students are introduced to music through chants and rhymes, puppets and props, stories, images, movement and dance.
Preschool Music Program
Our preschool classrooms receive three music classes per week, structured around a different theme each month. Students build on the fundamentals of music through chants and rhymes, props, stories, movement and dance. In addition to studying musical theory, vocal technique and percussion instruments, students explore different genres of music including classical, jazz, rock and folk.
