Sports Classes

Once a week, students participate in a micro-sports class led by a Chelsea Piers professional coach. These classes are included in the CP Kids tuition and provide students with a unique introduction to different sports. Children learn basic rules, movements and how to follow directions and work as a team. Additionally, sports classes provide further opportunity to develop both gross and fine motor control.


Through creative play and nurturing instruction, infants are introduced to the movement of gymnastics. Our world-class facility provides access for the littlest hands and feet to explore gymnastics equipment sized just for them. Activities are developed with caregiver/child bonding in mind and are rooted in physical development of small, but growing bodies. The class takes place in the morning so that parents can join before heading to work.


Throughout the course of the school year our toddler program participates in both gymnastics and soccer classes. Caring instructors guide each child through the basic movements and build upon each lesson throughout the semester. No parent participation is required, but parents are welcome to watch if their schedule permits.


A Micro-Sports class is incorporated into the preschool curriculum. This class is designed to introduce students to a variety of sports, focusing on movement, teamwork, sportsmanship and muscle coordination. Sports and activities include basketball, soccer, t-ball and field games.
