Program Highlights
Chelsea Piers After School Programs
The Chelsea Piers Scholarship Fund provides an opportunity for children to become actively involved in athletics on an on-going basis throughout the year. Scholarship recipients take weekly classes in gymnastics, soccer, basketball and baseball. These classes allow under-resourced children to immerse themselves in a specific sport and learn valuable life lessons including teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication, commitment and hard work.
Chelsea Piers Summer Camp Program
The Chelsea Piers Summer Camp programs have the double benefit of providing children in need with a safe, fun and instructive environment during the summer months, while at the same time opening up a world of opportunities through participation in organized sports. Many of the children served by the CPSF have parents that work full-time, creating a child-care issue during the summer months. Chelsea Piers Summer Sports Camp provides a full-day program from 9:00am — 4:00pm, which includes meals and snacks.
Chelsea Piers Gymnastics Team Program
The Chelsea Piers Scholarship Fund provides funding for promising gymnasts that do not have the means to pursue competitive gymnastics. CPSF believes strongly in allowing athletes to reach their full potential and provides financial aid to those children in need. The team program is a 10-month intensive, competitive program. In 2012, a gymnastics team member funded by CPSF earned a college scholarship for gymnastics.
