4-week Climbing Schools

New Sessions Begin Each Month
Harness and shoe rental are included with session cost.

With a low student-to-teacher ratio, the 4-week Climbing Schools offer beginners through experienced climbers the opportunity to improve technique and become more fluid and efficient. Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Bouldering, Lead Climbing & Belaying and Junior Climbing programs are offered. Please see below for class descriptions and schedule.

Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours before your scheduled climbing school.

Course Descriptions

Beginner Climbing

Novice climbers will learn the basic body movements used in climbing as well as techniques to improve their climbing skills. Note: To be eligible for a 4-week school, students must be able to attend the first session of the month.

Advanced Beginner Climbing

Prerequisite: Beginner Climbing School.
For climbers who are still working on entry-level climbs (5.5 - 5.7) but have already progressed through the Beginner Climbing School. This school will build on the basic principles learned in Beginner Climbing.

Beginner Bouldering School

Learn everything you need to know to start bouldering with confidence. You'll learn efficient movement on the wall, proper spotting and safe falling.

Lead Climbing & Lead Belaying

For climbers 5.9 and above looking to take their climbing skills to the next level. Concepts covered include previewing sequences, moving dynamically, using precise footwork and features, and improving one's capability to lead climbing on both the face and the roof.

Junior Climbing School

Offered on Sundays during Family Day and open to beginner and advanced junior climbers ages 10 - 15 that are looking to improve technique, gain experience and have fun at the Rock Wall.

Note: Children of Members will receive the Member rate.
