I believe that training is a personal experience that holds a different meaning and purpose for each individual. I come from the body-building world where training and success was based solely on aesthetics. This way of training left me feeling empty as if I was not connected to my body or my mind. My purpose in becoming a trainer was to show clients that fitness is about health and well-being. What works for one person may not work for someone else. I want my clients to find a healthy mind-body connection to all that they do on the fitness floor and in their day-to-day life. If we work hard to move well, eat well, sleep well and have healthy relationships with our bodies, fitness will always feel so much more rewarding and accessible.
