Tim started his career at Fenway Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York where he worked for seven years under the tutelage of Jimmy Wright (Metropolitan PGA Hall of Famer and four-time Met PGA Player of the Year). From there he went on to Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, New York where he worked for Jim McLean (PGA Teacher of the Year and currently one of the Top Five Teachers in the Country). Tim was privileged to work with and watch Jim McLean as he worked with such top tour players as Tom Kite, Brad Faxon, Curtis Strange, Hal Sutton and many others.
Tim later moved to the Golden Bear Golf Center in Elmsford, New York where he studied the principles of Jim Flick and Jack Nicklaus in the Nicklaus/Flick Golf Schools. From there he went on to run the Golden Bear Golf Center for four years as the Head Golf Professional. Tim has been a Class A PGA member since 1995 and has worked with four “Top 100 Teachers,” including Jim McLean, Jimmy Ballard, Jim Flick and Mitchell Spearman. Tim has been named Chelsea Piers PGA Teacher of the Year in 2004 and 2005 and Coach of the Year in 2011. In 2010, Tim was recognized for his ten years of service to the Chelsea Piers Golf Academy.

The golf swing begins with isolation of the club: Is it square at the key points in the swing? Is the shaft on plane? If not, there something wrong with the grip or set-up that makes a good swing impossible. The body will react negatively if the club is not on plane, so the club must be taken into account first.
