Masters Swim Team

Members of the Chelsea Piers Masters Swim Team participate in weekly workouts led by our staff of experienced coaches who utilize the most current teaching and training techniques. A typical workout ranges from 2,200 - 6,000 yards depending on the speed of the swimmer and the emphasis and make up of the workout - i.e. technique, drills, sprints, strokes, kicking, pace work/endurance freestyle, etc. Open to Sports Center members only.

FROM OUT OF TOWN?
Masters Swimmers from out of town are welcome to join a practice at the Sports Center and use the rest of the club for the day pass rate of $50. Please schedule your visit in advance with Josh Fly at flyjos@chelseapiers.com. Some restrictions may apply.

Flip Turn Clinic

This clinic will focus on the freestyle and backstroke flip turn. This clinic is appropriate for those who are skilled and want to get better, as well as those developing their turns. We will build the turn "backwards."


Breaststroke for Competition

This clinic will focus on the breaststroke. We will review the best way to kick, pull, coordinate the stroke, leave the wall and turn. We will use tools and equipment to strengthen our practice.


Faster Swimming Through Kicking

This clinic will focus on kicking. Kicking is a great way to improve fitness, swimming speed and overall technique. We will work on kicking skills and speed as a component of the four strokes and as part of the underwater streamline.
