Target Floating Store
Target was thinking big when it enlisted Chelsea Piers to create a floating holiday store in 2003. By combining a dinner cruise boat and a barge, and dressing them with holiday decorations, Target had one-of-a-kind, seafaring holiday store complete with a nautical Santa Claus. The festive spectacle drew widespread media attention, including broadcasts on The Today Show, CNN, ABC and CBS.

Nerf Father's Day Event
To celebrate Father's Day and the traditional childhood activity of tossing around the football with your dad, Nerf rented the turf at the Golf Club and invited football's first family — Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning — to have a catch with other fathers and their children.

VitaminWater
Generating buzz for the 2008 All Star Game, VitaminWater rented a barge with a large VitaminWater bottle "target" for their Homers on the Hudson event. The barge, anchored off the tip of Pier 61, provided a stage for company spokespeople David Wright and David Ortiz to demonstrate their hitting skills. Members of the public hit baseballs from the Lighthouse event space onto the barge. Local kayakers retrieved renegade balls in the Hudson River.

Lee Jeans Press Event
One of the Field House's two indoor soccer fields was transformed into a streamlined runway space for Lee Jeans. This event showcased the company's new line of jeans to an audience of buyers and media.

Spider-Man 3 "Scale Like Spidey" Event
Spider-Mania hit New York City in May 2007, with the premiere of the hit movie, Spider-Man 3. New Yorkers were invited to "Scale Like Spidey" on the indoor rock climbing wall at the Field House at Chelsea Piers during specially-themed sessions of our popular "Rock-N-Roll" gymnastics/rock climbing sessions. The program was promoted on-site at Chelsea Piers.

USTA National Tennis Month Event
Promoting May as National Tennis Month, the USTA, created a tennis court on a barge and docked it at Chelsea Piers. With media watching from an adjacent boat at the tip of Pier 59, tennis legends John McEnroe and Billie Jean King enjoyed a rally on this one-of-a-kind court.

V Magazine Press Event
V Magazine showcased a number of male model athletes in a soccer tournament held on the driving range at the Golf Club. The facility closed to the public for the evening, while over 200 participants, fans, family and friends gathered on the field to play and watch a series of games on the Hudson River.
