Continues to build independent swimming skills, introducing major strokes. Emphasis on mastering Freestyle, Backstroke, and side breathing. This specific class is also a transitionary class where swimmers will move into longer swim lanes and longer swim classes. Age-based classes. 4:1 ratio.
Stroke Development 1 (6-7 yrs)

For our older independent swimmers, we offer a progressive series of classes where stroke techniques are introduced and honed in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Prerequisite for Stroke Development 1: foundation of freestyle and backstroke; ability to swim a complete pool "length." 5:1 ratio.
Stroke Development 2 (6-7 yrs)

Further refines stroke techniques on all four competitive strokes. Focuses on endurance and advanced techniques. Prerequisite for Stroke Development 3: mastery of freestyle, backstroke, and breast stroke; familiarity with butterfly. 5:1 ratio.
