Coaching Philosophy
Coach Brandon’s, core tenets to his coaching philosophy is to help build the character of the player first, through values of respect, trust, teamwork, and patience. With a goal to help guide players to enjoy the game they play at their highest level of performance and to maintain a well mind, body, and spirit on and off the field!
Competitive Background
Coach Brandon has played at all levels of the game of soccer from high school, club, college, semi-pro, pro, and always a great competitive pick up game! Brandon grew up playing with Bay Shore and Massapequa SC, then heading to play center-back at Lafayette College in Easton PA., semi-pro NPSL with FC Sonic, and a unique study and professional experience in Leeds, UK in Richmond Academic Soccer Academy playing with Eccleshill United and Bradford City. Now enjoying the game in the NYC, in the Chelsea Piers, Cosmopolitan and Bowery Soccer Leagues.
Coaching Experience
Since high school Brandon has been coaching in his local PAL basketball and intramural soccer leagues in Bay Shore. He has a vast experience coaching at all levels and all sports. Brandon began coaching at Chelsea Piers in 2015 and has coached all ages from two years old to professionals. In the recent years, Brandon has been coaching the youth classes at Chelsea Piers and youth and high school competitive Chelsea Piers Teams. He spent two years as head coach at Fieldston High School with the Girls Varsity Soccer Team and assisting with Boys Varsity Soccer Team, winning a NYSAIS State Championship with Girls (2021) and NYSAIS State Runners UP with Boys (2022). Brandon enjoys coaching all sports and yoga as he has coached with Avenues, Basis Independent School, and Fieldston Physical Education Programs.
Most Memorable Sports Moment
My most memorable sports experience is the meaningful people and relationships with coaches, players, and families that have developed through playing and coaching sports as many of these relationships have grown to become life time friends!
