Coach Carmelo is passionate about developing young athletes and creating a positive, competitive environment where players can develop their technical skills, teamwork, and love for the game. He believes that consistent attendance at practice is essential, as soccer is best learned through game-like situations that enhance decision-making and positioning. Clear communication and commitment from players and parents help ensure a productive and rewarding season. Now, as Head Coach of the 2014 team, Carmelo is eager to pass on his knowledge and passion to the next generation of players. He is dedicated to helping each athlete reach their full potential while fostering a strong team spirit. Parents and players are encouraged to communicate and stay engaged, ensuring a fantastic season of development and success.
Competitive Background
I initiated my soccer journey at the age of six with my hometown team, AC Casalgrande, and after five years, I sought a higher level of competition by joining ASCD Arcetana. This transition marked a pivotal phase in my physical and mental development as a player. Despite receiving invitations to trial for esteemed local high league teams such as FC Modena and AC Reggiana, I chose to remain with ASCD Arcetana due to the invaluable benefits derived from the experience.
At the age of 16, the consistent dedication to training yielded tangible results when I participated in tournaments representing US Sassuolo in Spain and the Czech Republic. Concurrently, I seized the opportunity to undergo trials with the National Italian Team Under 17, showcasing my commitment to excellence in the sport.
