Coaching Philosophy
Help each student reach the maximum of the skater's potential, while experiencing the fun of achieving improvement in each lesson. Encourage the benefits of continuing in the sport throughout school as a healthy activity to pursue, along with the challenges of academics.
Competitive Background
Professional Performer in Traveling Skating Shows, Dick Button's World's Fair Ice Show, Radio City Music Hall, and various NYC shows. Inventor of "The Toe Skate" and the only person to perform on these skates professionally. The idea came from ballet dancing since age 4 and combining the strength of dancing on pointe and figure skating.
Coaching Experience
Coaching began at Sky Rink on W. 33rd St . in 1979, after a professional skating and ballet career. That is: 44 years of teaching and taking skaters from the beginning to Gold Test levels, and competing at the National Level.
Most Memorable Sports Moment
There are three of them — Appearance on pointe skates on Nat'l TV show "You asked for It", solo on pointe skates at Dick Button's show and a 6 month performance in 1979 at Radio City Music Hall show", A New York Summer".
