Women’s Gymnastics DP & XCEL Head Coach
Georgetown, Guyana
As a gymnastics coach, my philosophy centers on the importance of discipline, dedication, and teamwork, while also nurturing each gymnast’s individual strengths and potential.
I began competing in the Men’s Junior Olympics gymnastics program at the age of 6. I continued competing until the age of 17.
I began coaching at the age of 16 at my gym, starting with “Mommy and Me’ and recreational classes. Over the years, I transitioned to coaching boys’ team, a role I held for many years. Eventually, I took on the responsibility of coaching the Xcel girls team. Today, I am honored to coach both the Xcel and DP girls teams, bringing my experience and passion to the athletes.
One of my most memorable sports moments was placing in the top three at Regional Championships and making the Future Stars team. This program, created by USA Gymnastics, is designed to develop talented junior boys for the Olympic training route. The experience was incredibly rewarding, making a significant milestone in my gymnastics journey and reinforcing my dedication to the sport.
